Terms of Service

Plain English

Last Updated: October 7, 2026

Overview

PhotoWallz is a live event photo wall. Guests scan a QR code, upload photos from their phones, and the photos show up on a screen at the event. These terms are the agreement between you and PhotoWallz, operated by its owner, an individual sole proprietor based in California ("PhotoWallz", "we", "us"). By creating an organizer account, buying a plan, or uploading photos, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Your photos stay yours

Hosts and guests keep ownership of the photos they upload. We only use them to run your event: showing them on the wall, in the gallery, and in the downloads you choose.

Who Can Use PhotoWallz

Plans and Payments

Refunds

Our full refund policy is on the pricing page. In short:

How Long Photos Are Kept

Photos are kept for the period your plan includes: 48 hours on the Free Pass (90 days with Photo Saver), 90 days on the Premium Event Pass, and 180 days per event on Safe Event Pro and the annual plans. After that, the gallery and downloads close and we may delete the photos. Download anything you want to keep before your plan's period ends. PhotoWallz is a live event service, not a long-term backup.

What You Can Upload

Hosts and guests may only upload photos they have the right to share. Don't upload anything that:

Hosts are responsible for their event, including telling guests the photos will be shown on a screen and getting any permissions their venue or event needs. Our optional AI filtering helps catch inappropriate photos but can't catch everything, so hosts should keep an eye on their wall. We may remove content or suspend an event or account that breaks these rules. To report a photo, email hello@photowallz.com.

Permission to Show Your Photos

When you upload a photo, you give PhotoWallz permission to store, resize, and display it on that event's wall, gallery, replay, and downloads, as the host has set them up, for as long as the plan keeps photos. We don't use your photos in our advertising or sell them. This permission ends when the photo is deleted.

The Service

We work hard to keep PhotoWallz running, but we can't promise it will never go down or be error-free. The wall depends on things outside our control, like the venue's Wi-Fi, guests' phones, and the TV or streaming device you use. If you're having trouble getting the wall on your TV, email us and we'll help you get running. We may improve or change features over time. If we ever shut the service down, we'll give organizers notice so they can download their photos.

Limits on Our Responsibility

PhotoWallz is provided "as is." To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as a missed moment at an event, lost profits, or lost data. Our total responsibility for any claim related to PhotoWallz is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Ending Your Account

You can stop using PhotoWallz anytime and ask us to delete your workspace by emailing hello@photowallz.com. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or abuse the service. If we close your account for a reason that isn't your fault, we'll refund the unused part of what you paid.

Changes and Contact

We may update these terms as PhotoWallz grows. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we'll email organizers about important changes. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. Questions? Email hello@photowallz.com.
